Course Description | This course will study the theories, concepts, and methods of descriptive and inferential biostatistics. The discussion starts from the types of variables, statistical stages, data summaries, probability concepts, data distribution, sampling, estimation and hypothesis testing using parametric test assumptions. Through the case study triggers (exercises) provided, students are expected to be able to use appropriate biostatistical approaches/methods to complete case studies/quantitative problems applied in public health. The compulsory subject courses of this faculty are carried out using a Student Centered Active Learning (SCAL) approach using the Indonesian language of instruction. Some of the sessions included using information and communication technology (e-Learning) facilities, such as reading e-books, handouts, communication interactions through discussion forums, assignments, practicums, to learning activities by watching audio-video-based learning resources. | |
