Important - Read Before Applying

Before applying, please make sure you understand the following enrolment restrictions set by the course offering university:

Each student can apply and enroll in ONE academic course offered by Nanyang Technological University, Singapore at VSE Season 2, 2022-23 only. If you have submitted two applications to Nanyang Technological University, Singapore courses, the VSE Central Office will withdraw the SECOND application without prior notice. If you wish to change your course selection after making the first application, please make a request by emailing [email protected].

Applicants to courses offered by NTU at VSE Season 2, 2022-23 are required to complete an additional NTU registration form immediately after submitting the VSE application. The deadline for submitting the NTU registration form is the same as the VSE application deadline.

The application procedures of the NTU registration form are as follows:
1. Visit the NTU registration form.
2. Click on the link under ‘For New Applicants’ to create an application number, and select to Apply as ‘Undergraduate Student’.
3. Complete the ‘Online Application for Admission’. Please take note of the following:

• ‘Student Category’: Please select ‘Virtual Exchange’
• ‘Home University’: Please select your home university name.

Mode of Study Section
• ‘Mode, area and duration of study’: Please select ‘Course work’
• ‘Acad Year’ and ‘Semester’: Please select ‘2022/2023’ and ‘2 (Jan-May)’.

Academic Requirements

Before applying, please make sure you have fulfilled the course offering university's academic requirements listed below:

1. CGPA 3.5 or above (out of 5.0)
2. Enrolment is restricted to undergraduate students only.
3. Each student can enrol in only one course offered by NTU.

English Language Proficiency Requirements

Before applying, please make sure you have fulfilled the course offering university's English language proficiency requirements listed below:

Proof of English language proficiency is not required for students who are native speakers of English, or where English is the core language of instruction in the home institution.

Below are the guidelines for the level of English proficiency best suited to studying at NTU:

• General Paper of the Singapore Cambridge GCE 'A' Level Examination (sat in 2007 onwards): A, B, C, D, E
• General Paper of the Singapore Cambridge GCE 'A' Level Examination (sat in 2006 or earlier): A1, A2, B3, B4, C5, C6
• IELTS: a minimum of 6 for the Writing sub-test
• TOEFL: a minimum of 570 (paper) or 90 (internet) or 237 (computer)
• SAT1: a minimum of 600 for the Verbal section; or 7 for the Essay section
• IB: a minimum of 4 for Higher Level English or 4 for Standard Level English
• MUET: Band 6 and a minimum of 50 for writing
• GEPT: High intermediate Stage 2 consisting of writing and speaking modules (applies to students from Taiwan universities only)

The guidelines are in place to ensure exchange students are suited to cope with the rigorous curriculum conducted in English. If you do not have any of the tests above, you may request for a letter from your home university, confirming your English proficiency and ability to follow classes in English.

This course aims to highlight the beauty and ephemeral qualities of watercolour painting. Students will be progressively taught various techniques to achieve different results. The art and architecture of financial districts as material expressions of certain abstract ideals of the financial markets. HY0001 will introduce students to three major ethical theories' utilitarianism, Kant's deontology, and virtue ethics. Then, four weeks will be devoted to teaching the ethical principles underlying academic integrity, research ethics, and intellectual property. Finally, students will discuss issues related to the ethics of environmental sustainability and conservation.
