Pusan National University (PNU) is the top Korean flagship national university and Asia’s premier comprehensive institution of higher education and a leader in research and teaching. PNU consists of four campuses in Busan and Gyeongnam area, and has two university hospitals providing high-quality medical services to the local community.

Course Description

This course explores the complex dynamics of intercultural communication in the context of globalization. Through theoretical foundations and practical applications, students will examine how culture, identity, language, and power shape communication across cultural boundaries. Special attention is given to global advertising and campaign practices as a site where intercultural meanings are negotiated and performed. The course includes a team project in which students design and present a global campaign tailored for diverse audiences. By the end of the course, students will develop a deeper understanding of intercultural communication processes and gain practical skills in crafting persuasive and culturally sensitive messages for global audiences.
