If you have submitted two applications to Zhejiang University courses, the VSE Central Office will withdraw the SECOND application without prior notice. Course Description

This course is a degree program for civil & mechanical engineering undergraduate students. The course provides basic theories and analytical methods to solve mechanical problems of complex engineering structures. It includes several parts: 1) The history and the key concept of elasticity, the relations to other courses, e.g., material mechanics, structural mechanics. 2) Basic theory of plan problems, solutions of plan problems under rectangular coordinates or polar coordinates. 3) Basic theory of three-dimensional problems and their solutions. 4) Bending of thin plate. The course is conducted by lectures and class discussions.

Course Description

This is a professional optional course targeting undergraduate students majoring in civil engineering and architecture. It covers three main parts as follows: first, urban climate and built environment; second, green building technology including building energy saving technology, building indoor environment control technology, land-use saving and outdoor environment technology, water resource utilization and water saving technology, green building material, operation and management technology, green building technology integrated application, etc; third, the comparison of green building evaluation standards home and abroad; forth, green building case studies at home and abroad and on site visiting. Course Description

This course will focus on fundamental aspects of human genetics, both classical and molecular genetics will be addressed, with particular application to human biology and medicine. Laws that govern inheritance and variation among individuals and populations will be addressed, with special attention to the molecular aspects of inheritance, mutation and gene regulation. Up-dated molecular, cellular and cytogenic approaches will be emphasized, whenever possible, to human gene systems and inherited diseases. By this course the students should be able to master the knowledge for the diagnosis, the treatment and especially the prevention of genetic disorders. The course aims to provide a foundation for appreciation and application of genetics in the practice of medicine.

Course Description

This specialized course is offered to the senior education majors who have already laid a solid basis in the field of education and who want to further broaden their global horizons on the major educational decisions made by the world community.

This course has four academic purposes:

1) enable students to have a general understanding of the important educational policies and initiatives developed by the international organizations like UNESCO, OECD, World Bank and UNICEF, etc.;
